On this internet-page, we present a training program preparing Cycle 1 children for reading and writing acquisition in Cycle 2 by using activities and games about syllables, rimes, phonemes.

The training-program ‚Phonologesch Bewosstheet am Spillschoulsalter‘ was edited in 2004. Actually, books are sold out and we decided to share it as PDF.

It is important to outline, that the systematic use of the presented activities and games has a positive impact on reading and writing acquisition in Cycle 2.1. – children encountering more difficulties in phonological awareness development in C1 make significantly less mistakes in C2-spelling than at-risk children who got no specific phonological awareness training. These training- results are resumed in a scientific article.
